Apakah itu GIGO?
Sudahkah pernah mendengar istilah ini?

Saya sendiri belum lama mendengar istilah ini. Selama ini istilah mirip yang saya tau adalah FIFO (First In First Out) atau LIFO (Last In First Out). Itu terkait dengan penyimpanan, baik barang ataupun informasi. Sekarang, saya sudah mendapatkan istilah baru saat kuliah, yaitu GIGO (Garbage In Gold Out).

GIGO merupakan istilah dalam pengembangan sistem yang ditujukan bagi istilah "Data mining". Pada metode ini, sesuatu (data) yang mungkin dianggap sampah (garbage)/ kurang berarti/ tidak bermakna yang dimasukkan, akan menghasilkan informasi yang berharga (gold).

Saat menerima istilah ini, saya berpikir mengenai kondisi mahasiswa. Siswa SMA yang masuk dalam PTN ternama, sebelumnya adalah gold di masing-masing sekolahnya. Bagaimana output yang dihasilkan saat mahasiswa (siswa SMA) berada pada sistem perguruan tinggi tersebut? Apakah merasa dirinya sudah hebat sehingga meremehkan waktunya di perguruan tinggi sehingga garbage out? Tapi, terkadang garbage out akan terjadi jika memang input yang dimasukkan tidak bisa menerima kerja sistem yang ada. Jika hal ini terjadim sungguh amat disayangkan karena sistem menghasilkan GIGO yang berarti Gold in Garbage out.

Jika siswa SMA tersebut menggunakan kesempatan di PTN dengan baik, maka gold akan tetap dihasilkan, sehingga gold in gold out (GIGO).

Bukan hanya sistem pendidikan, tetapi sistem lainnya pun bisa. Jika seseorang yang dianggap sampah masyarakat (garbage), misalkan pemulung, melakukan sesuatu yang tepat, bisa saja menghasilkan GIGO dalam artian garbage in gold out. Hal ini tercapai jika dia dapat mengoptimumkan pengubahan (transformasi) dari sampah yang diperolehnya untuk menghasilkan produk baru, misalkan dompet atau tas dari sampah plastik yang menghasilkan uang. Akan tetapi, jika pemulung itu hanya membawa sampah dari satu tempat ke tempat lain, garbage in akan tetap menjadi garbage out.

Inti dari tulisan saya ini adalah istilah GIGO  dapat menghasilkan banyak arti. Kehidupan kita di dunia ini, pasti memasuki suatu sistem tertentu. Apa yang kita pilih dan kita putuskan akan menentukan GIGO yang kita buat. Jadi semangat dan pilihlah untuk Garbage In Gold Out atau Gold In Gold Out, jangan sampai Garbage In Garbage Out, apalagi Gold In Garbage Out.

Menemukan pasangan hidup itu seperti menunggu bus..

Tulisan ini berawal dari apa yang aku rasakan dan aku pikirkan selama aku dalam perjalanan pulang (atau pergi ya?) dari rumah di Majenang, JaTeng ke Bogor..


ya, terutama untuk perempuan yang katanya "Lady in waiting" untuk pasangan hidup itu,
menemukan pasangan hidup hampir bisa dianalogikan dengan menunggu bus..

saat kamu menunggu bus, tentu kamu memiliki kota atau terminal tujuan di mana kamu ingin capai..
begitu juga dengan menunggu pasangan hidup, tentu mencari pasangan hidup yang memiliki tujuan hidup (visi dan misi) yang sama dengan kita, atau setidaknya mendekati..

saat kamu menunggu, tiba-tiba bus lewat, tapi begitu dilihat ternyata berbeda jurusan,
tentu kamu tidak akan menaikinya, meskipun dia memberi tanda atau menawarkan kita untuk naik..
kita pun tidak mungkin bersama dengan orang yang memiliki tujuan hidup yang jauh berbeda dengan kita..

tak lama setelah itu, muncul bus demi bus yang, sebenarnya sesuai dengan tujuan kita, tapi tidak sesuai dengan apa yang kita mau.. Misalnya aku tidak suka bus DI karena ekonomi, atau SJ karena tempat duduknya sempit dan ugal-ugalan.. Meskipun berulang kali bus sejenis lewat, aku enggan menaikinya.Mungkin begitu juga dengan orang yang visi hidupnya sama dengan kita, tapi banyak hal darinya yang kita tidak bisa terima... Bahkan ini bisa terjadi, meskipun dia memberikan seluruh bagian hatinya untuk kita (baca: analog bus tersebut kosong penumpang).

akhirnya, yang dinantikan pun tiba. Bus idaman pun tiba dan ternyata,,,, Wah kosong! Akhirnya aku naik dengan nyaman sepanjang perjalanan..
Ini sama dengan orang yang kita temukan satu visi dengan kita dan sesuai dengan kriteria kita,
bahagia sekali ya?

Tapi, uuups, itu tidak selalu terjadi. Bus yang menyenangkan tentu banyak penggemarnya..
Terkadang saat bus itu datang, bus sudah penuh, tapi aku memaksa tetap naik, karena itu benar-benar bus idolaku. Asalkan ada tempat, entah bangku kondektur, bangku sebelah sopir, bahkan bagian belakang sekalipun akan kujalani.
Kadang sebagian kita seperti ini,,
Saat bertemu dengan seseorang yang kita pikir setujuan, asyik, menyenangkan, cocok dan lain sebagainya,,
kita memaksakan diri kita dengannya, walau mungkin sebenarnya hatinya tidak hanya untuk kita..
Untuk kasus ini bagaimana? Jika aku di sepanjang perjalanan merasakan posisi yang tidak enak, dan kemudian aku menyesal???
Menyesal tiada guna, tidak mungkin aku turun di tengah jalan. Aku harus terima kondisinya sampai akhir tujuanku, entah enak ataupun tidak.
Begitu juga jika kita telah mengambil keputusan tadi. Saat kita bersamanya ternyata tidak seindah yang kita bayangkan, kita tidak mungkin berhenti. Kita harus tetap berjalan dan mensyukuri keadaannya serta menerima risiko dari keputusan yang telah dipilih...

Jadi sekarang, silakan tentukan mana yang kamu pilih:
1. Bus yang beda tujuan
2. Bus setujuan yang kosong tapi kurang nyaman
3. Bus setujuan yang penuh tapi sesuai kriteria


Tentunya akan lebih menyenangkan jika mendapat bus setujuan yang kosong dan nyaman, sesuai kriteria kita...

Apapun kondisinya nanti, tentukan pilihanmu,, dan siapkan mental dan hati dan lain lain untuk menerima hasil keputusanmu,, karena hidup itu cuma satu kali...

Mrs. Herlina (2011) said "...." and then my opinions are......

 " three important keys are

 1. serenity to accept things that I can't change

 2. courage to change things that I can change

 3. wisdom to know the difference.."

i hope i can understand and implement these three keys..i know that i have some differences from you -you   always says that the differences make us complete each other-

i know there're something that can't be changed forever, because we are born from different culture and  family

but, i also know that there're some terms can be changed,, may be it's the common paradigm, or may be it's  my self. but i prefer to get the former one..there're still any wishes, but family is always everything for me,,

I hope i don't make them sad or disappoint with me..

that's right, the world is like a river which the water flows to the sea rightnow,

the dinamic world can't be held by static effort

we have to move,, to empower our selves,,

of course, in term of life principal we have to be like a stone, strong and unshaken --as long as it is not a    mistake or sin--

 "everything felt difficult we meet, just do it with joy"

a big trouble, is often actually a small problem

but, we looked it by a lup or even microscope,, so it looks like a giant stone that will fall on our head..

just smile, take a breath, take one step,,

and look! how beautiful this world is,, don't polute it with your sadness..

 

 "when i was left by my husband (he passed away), it's not just felt i loose something, but i think some parts of  my bone was broken, it hurts me till now,, that's really the most sad event in my life"

to love someone, we have to dare to loose

there's time God given for us to be with our sweetheart,, but He can take him/her from us, at the time we   don't know when and we don't expect before

we have to learn from Ayub.. God has given, let God take it

but, the most important point is give thanks to God, because He gives us an opportunity to love and to be   loved..

when we meet our true soulmate,, we will feel that we're one,,

 

 

 "a teacher is someone that give many things (or much things- I don't know how to interpretate it).. so, the compulsion to be able in giving, i have to having first"

teacher is not always a person who attend the class, and give some lesson, or write on whiteboard,,

but teacher is may be our friend, our brother, our sister, or our parents, or even our enemy (if you have it, of  course)

we have to have more passion to get many things to share,, not for ourselves only,, to be a teacher in other's  life

because, we are created to do the right thing..

so be a right man in right place and right time, do the right thing and do the thing right..

 ok, friends,,

 and i don't have to be selfish, so i share it to you,

 may be some point is different from your opinion, but that's ok,,

 because these are so many opinion, not the fact, in this note..

Ev'ryone has talent

What is a talent?

If you a Christian, you will meet this word at many verses at Bible.
It was one of currency, same as 6000 dinar, and do you know?
1 dinar is salary for one-day-work.
You can imagine it.
It's so precious if you have talent.
But, I won't tell you about this talent.
What I want to tell now is talent which means our expertise, that you can't always meet at other person.

Everyone has his/her own talent.
It can be a talent to sing seriosa, playing guitar, cook well, or anything else.
Every talent God gave to us is always useful and amazing, of course if you use it and develop it well.

I always sad if i meet my friend, other person, or even my self jealous with other's talent.
May be we can ask to God, why God? Why does he have that great talent, but I haven't?
That is one of the most bad statement.
I think God will tell you: "My dearest child, I gave you another talent, it's not that talent, but where you put yours? Have you found it and developed it?"

Ya, we have our own talent, but the problem is whether we have found it or not, and when we have found it, have we developed it?
Just find out yours, develop it with your heart, and you will show to the world that you have one or more amazing talent,, stop being another person, Just be yours!

When others see your talent as unprecious one, you must not sad, why? because you always precious, at least for your God, and yourself..
Just be confident, and don't forget: Give your talent to help others! and always Give Thanks :)

Just respect your lecturer! They loves us..

It was the day my lecturer angry with us because we didn't respect him.
What did we do?
We didn't listen his explanation, but made our class so noisy.
It was our bad habit.
We were on chat each other, disturb another person, even though  my lecturer teached us.
Ya, that was our mistake, had no respect and ethic.
What we did was like child behavior,, it's embarassed.


Then, our lecturer looked like very angry and prefer to keep silent in front of the class, allow us to chat each other. but, what's happened then?
We were silent, so silent, because of being afraid.
It was bad behaviour of Indonesian student.
From primary school, till undergraduated students, we did it..
Do ev'rything what we want without respecting teacher,, but when teacher angry and allow us to do ev'ryting we enjoy, we keep silent.
It has to be change!!


there were many lessons he gave to us, values of life we have to understand..
1. I have to be useful where ever I am
It is one philosophy of life,,
What is our purpose in this brief life? Is it being rich? Is it having happy family? Is it reach high position on your carrier? Then, if you get them, what will you do? Die uselessly??????
so, whereever you go, you have to be useful..
My lecturer I tell you first, said that he had been a lecturer for about 27 years. And, do you know what motivate him to be like that? It was a wonderful story I got,,
When he was an undergraduate student like me, he was so poor. He came from Aceh, and he had difficulty to eat well because of economic problem. but, he had one lecturer who very very very loves him. The lecturer was very care toward him, and he was like a bestfriend for my lecturer.
When my lecturer graduated, his teacher just wanted him to be lecturer like him. My lecturer then be like his teacher wish. He did it to show his thanks.

2. There is only one speaker at once
It is an principal term of communication. You are an gentleman if you can listen what others say to you, without cut it with your speak. It is difficult to person like me, who like talking many topic,, but i have to try it. You will try to, won't you?

3. There's always meaning behind the words
It is very important to know, if you want to be a good listener. Just understand that everyword has its meaning and effect. So, you will appreciate and respect others. 

4. Learn to be gentle, disturbing others' compulsion is the same with disturbing someone who in worship 
My lecturer said that we will graduate soon, we have to learn how to respect others, especially teacher. Why? When teacher does his task and teaches us, it means he is doing his worship to God. If we disturb him, it is the same with disturb his worship.. What kind of person that doing like that? 

5. Be a goodfriend,,
Being a friend is so important. One friend is very precious in life, so it is better having friend without having enemy. One way to be a friend is listening well what others say to us.

ok, that all I want to share to you.
I hope this writing can be useful for you to be a better person.
Finally, i let you to start trying to change for better future,
One thing i hope you know is "Make your lecturer angry is a big mistake and fatal error that make your heart hurted,, so, don't ever make them sad and angry,, just respect them,, and at the future, your child willl respect on you too."
